The Grand Re-Opening is Just Days Away! Are You Ready?
Benji Lyons, Casa Grande, Az. (November 17th, 2012) – As the dedicated crew of volunteers work day and night, the buzz around town continues to build in excitement for the grand re-opening of Central Arizona Raceway. Racers and fans alike prepare for the action filled weekend that so many struggled to believe would ever become a reality.
After four long years, the Southwest Center of Speed will be the site of the 8th Annual Wes Hurst Memorial that will feature the best of the best IMCA Modified stars for the 2012 Finale this November 23rd thru the 25th. Joining the three day Thanksgiving celebration will be a star-studded field of Pure Stocks and Super Stocks from every corner of the state.
The festivities will kick off Thursday night with an open practice session from 6 to 9pm. This will be the first chance for the general public to get a sneak peak of the action that will follow the very next night. Friday the 23rd will get under way at 7pm with the gates opening at 4pm. Saturday and Sunday will shift gears with a starting time of 1pm with the gates opening at 10am.
General Admission is just $15, Seniors and Military are $12, Students 7 to 11 are just $5, and Kids 6 & under are absolutely FREE! Yes you read that correctly, FREE!

Central Arizona Raceway is located at the Pinal County Fairgrounds just outside of Casa Grande, Arizona. The high banked, high speed clay oval will feature a full schedule in 2013 headlining ASCS Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks and a host of other racing divisions in the Southwest.
