Tucson, Az. (Dec. 16, 2011)- From future Late Model Hall of Fame pilots to living legends that have conquered more on dirt that most have witnessed, the list of drivers continues to grow with truly some of the best of the business for this year’s Wild West Shootout at USA Raceway. The Total Seal Piston Rings sponsored event that boasts 6 action packed days of racing in an eight day calendar enters its 6^th year of existence and anticipation has never been higher amongst drivers and especially race fans.

Not to be overlooked or taken lightly is an always action packed field of the best Modified racers from every part of the United States and Canada that are chomping at the bit for one more round of Wild West Shootout excitement. The 2011 Modified car count peaked at 46 and could very well be shattered this year with the tracks decision to incorporate 100% of the 2012 USRA rule book during the shootout as well as the 2012 season.

In the six short years of what has become an annual racing vacation for a number of families looking to get to warmer conditions, the local race fan and local racer continue to play a major part of the 8 day event. 2012 will follow suit with support from Arizona’s best Super Stock racers along with Western State Stock Car Series joining the action packed card the first two days and the USA Raceway born and bred X-Mod division and the USA Factory Stocks adding their names to the last 2 days of competition.

All the action kicks off January 13^th with an open practice from 6 to 9pm which is free for the fans that wish to get a sneak peak from the grandstands. The action will then see its first competitive green flag at 1pm the very next day as we kick down the door to a showdown in the desert that you don’t want to miss. So mark your calendars as Saturday, January the 14^th is coming quick for the 6^th Annual Wild West Shootout presented by Total Seal Piston Rings at USA Raceway!
