Tucson, Az. (Aug. 18, 2011) Wings, fenders, and a few bounty hunters headline this Saturday night at USA Raceway! The action packed USRA Modifieds will join the Wing Sprints Cars of the ASCS this Saturday night at USA Raceway!

Winning streaks seem to be at an all-time high as we roll into this weekend’s event with Rick Zeihl, driver of the 20z ASCS Sprint Car from Las Cruces, NM aiming for #4 in a row at USA and Chad Ayers (#3d) shooting for his 3rd in the USRA Modified division.

Just after Zeihl’s previous ASCS Southwest Regional win, following driver interviews and trophy presentations, USA Raceway Promoter Benji Lyons made a short but simple announcement. He announced a bounty worth a smooth $1,000 of cool cash would be up for grabs at the next ASCS event, going to the driver that has what it takes to beat the 20z machine and stop the streak that currently sits at 3. Can it be done?! With a possibility of the winner’s share of prize money tipping just over $2200, it can only make Saturday that much more exciting!

Ayers, who had previously picked up two in a row earlier this year, swept the last USRA event with wins in both of his heat races followed by top honors in both USRA main events bringing his win total to four during the 2011 season. Those wins were far from a walk in the park as the competition has only gotten stronger and faster. Robert Adams looks to be back to usual form and primed to recapture his winning ways of last year’s breakout season. Jake O’Neil who took home his first USRA win just last week at the Southern New Mexico Speedway, will be ready to challenge all takers in hopes for number two coming this weekend at USA. Stormy Scott, Jimmy Ray, Cody Alverez, and many more of the best modified racers in the Southwest are expected for Saturday night’s showdown in the desert.

Not to be left out is their scaled down version known as the ASCS2 (mini-sprint/ modified midget), that will battle it out on the short track as well as the fireworks filled division of the USA Factory Stocks. All the action kicks off at 6:45pm this Saturday night!

General admission tickets will go on sale at 4pm for only $15 for Adults, $12 for Seniors, Students and Military. Kids 11 & under are FREE! For an additional $5 you my upgrade your ticket to the great indoors and enjoy the races from USA Raceway’s VIP Suite (first come, first serve basis).
