Scott Storms to Modified Victory at USA!
Kevin Montgomery, TUCSON, Ariz. (April 30, 2011) – Stormy Scott notched his first Open Wheel Modified feature win of the 2011 season by racing to victory lane atop the 3/8-mile USA Raceway clay oval.
The USRA Western Modified contender advanced from the 12th starting position to take the lead en route to capturing the 25-lap feature.
Jake O’Neil crossed the stripe just behind Scott holding off fellow New Mexico racers Bumper Jones and Fito Gallardo with Dane Jorgenson returning to action for a fifth place finish.
Terry Hill made it three in a row by capturing the 20-lap UniFirst Super Stock feature. Hill drove from the fifth starting position and took the checkered flag just ahead of Brian Brown and Daniel Stricker.
Paul Smith won his first USA Factory Stock 20-Lap feature from the pole position with Johnny McCarty Sr. and Josh Allred rounding out the top three.
Duane Jones and Stephen Lee topped Hornet action with Steve Kapaun taking honors in the 15-lap Dwarf Car feature.

The 2nd Annual Mothers Day Race for The Cure Benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation will jump start this weekends ASCS Wing Sprint Car action. The UniFirst Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, Southwest Modlites and Hornets will join the card for a huge benefit supporting a great cause. A full night of action begins when general admission tickets go on sale at 4pm for only $15 for Adults, $12 for Seniors, Students and Military. Racing action will begin promptly at 6:45pm.
