Kevin Montgomery TUCSON, Ariz. (March 20, 2011) – Lonnie Parker Jr. of El Mirage, AZ, used lap traffic to capture his first 2011 Total Seal Late Model feature event atop USA Raceway’s 3/8-mile clay oval.

Parker picked off leaders as he moved from third to first in one corner after a heated three way battle between Joey Moriarty and Paul Banghart and went on to win the 25-Lap main event marking his first victory at USA Raceway in over a year.

While Ricky Thornton Jr., the 2010 series champion, applied constant pressure he was unable to overtake Parker finishing a close second.  Thornton used a couple of late race restarts to nose up to Parker but was unable to upset the Parker Concrete/GRT enough to make the pass.

Anthony Madrid was able to make a last lap move on previous race leader Paul Banghart to secure the show position with Brad Williams completing the top five.

Terry “The Thrill” Hill dominated the UniFirst Super Stocks by leading all 20-Laps of the main event.  Hill paced the field and was able to break away while the remaining cars battled for the runner up spots.  It was Daniel Stricker holding off Dana Boatwright, Travis Benson and the substitute driver Nick O’Neil rounding out the top five.

“The Conductor” Robert Adams, took care of business in the X-Mod 20-Lap feature holding off rookie and current championship points leader Jason George.  George has two top three finishes in the first two races of the 2011 season.

Ryan Henesey, Jerry Jones and Amanda Johnson took top honors in the Dwarf Car and Hornet features.
